Virginia Kuhn

Research Assistant Professor, School of Cinematic Arts, Associate Director, Institute for Multimedia Literacy and Director, Honors in Multimedia Scholarship Program, University of Southern California  

Virginia Kuhn serves as the Associate Director of the Institute for Multimedia Literacy, directing the Honors in Multimedia Scholarship program and also as Assistant Professor of Cinema Practice. Her work centers on digital rhetoric, and the ways in which research and teaching may be enhanced with the addition of sound, image and interactivity as semiotic resources. She teaches a range of the IML’s undergraduate and graduate courses, all of which marry theory and practice. She serves on the editorial boards of Kairos: A Journal of Rhetoric, Technology, and Pedagogy, PRE/TEXT: A Journal of Rhetorical Theory, and the Journal of Interactive Technology and Pedagogy.
